Note: The following includes very strong opinions of sexual fetishes, some language some may find offensive (no swearing but still), and a ' plain bizarre' outlook on life. If you are one of those people who hate the strange and different or just can't accept different opinions avert your page surfer now.
Anyway, for those who don't know I am a fetishist. I am an expansion fetishist to be specific, I love pregnant bellies, chubbiness, or just bloated stomachs. I am not a 'sexual' fetishist as my interests hold more of a fascination and happiness level. Also included in my opinions of what is beautiful are long slender hands and feet, hazel, grey or pitch black eyes, navels (belly buttons), wrist warmers, the colour purple, and fuzzy hair. As such I am not your average person nor am I a 'sexual deviant'.
I am not active in any online communities, but I do like to browse and read, or otherwise, 'lurk'. Earlier today I stumbled across something that was offensive to the extreme. In an online forum related to expansion I found out something revolting.
It is no secret that the expansion community has been met with lots of criticism or hatred over the years. Including Manga-Punk-Sai's comic on 'inflation art' or the countless websites, trollers, or otherwise plain rude people on the internet. But at least most of it was contained to the internet.
Or at least was.
I found out that a television show had stolen Youtube clips made by some of the communities people and showed them on national television. All the while calling the makers 'sexual predators' or 'constant masturbaters'. Now the offending program was a G4 Around the Net clip that actually aired about a year ago. I really am behind things. Anyway. This show openly critised inflation fetishists and showed the names of the youtube users without permission. I read some of the users comments and found they removed all their videos and left Youtube because of a wave of hate mail.
After a little digging I also found that the Wieght Gaining community had also been attacked by G4.
Normally when there is a hater they're only a nuisance, a troll, or discouraging, but to hear that people have actually broadcast 'our feelings' to the world is dispicable.
The internet is the only place where we can find others like us. Where we can be ourselves without worry of public persecution. But to have your most private, and sometimes sacred feelings shown on television as a 'freakshow' ruins, no violates that. It's not only expansion, inflation, or fat lovers that are connected through the internet. People with disabilities, physical differences, homosexuals, other fetishists, the list goes on, find salvation with others here. And we're hated, indeed. Some psychologists believe those with fetishes or deviations should be 'treated' with drugs, hypnosis, or other forms of 'help'.
We live in a world where many preach all should come together and accept all kinds, and yet we are so far from any such ideal. Everything you could ever imagine or dream exists. And nothing is inherently wrong or evil.
I'm not sure if anyone will hear this. Or care. But the internet is a big place and there is no room for petty hatred.

Please note this is a slightly edited list. I excluding the more violent or unsanitary fetishes. Also this list is by no means extreme. The sheer amount of unique people out their is staggering. And a fetish is by no means a soley sexual experience.
Fetishism ranges from fascination, feelings of happiness, excitement, and yes sexual feelings.
I do not agree with all those on that list, but I can accept it, more than accept it. There are people out there afraid of fetishists, who hate them, who want to 'fix' them.
My belief is that so long as no one is hurt, or embarrased without consent, all beliefs can exist. There are many kinds of people out there. And they all have the right to believe what they believe. And no one has the right to hate them for it.
This has been Alorok. With his own opinions. Good day.
